"Be the change you want to see in the world."
-Ghandi
In 2015, our organization showed to be 94% self-sufficient! That means that our Vocational Program and all of the revenue generated from it's contracts were able to cover almost every dime of our operating budget. That is unheard of in our industry, and we are SO proud of our staff and associates for all of their hard work and dedication. However, in order to expand, grow, and see our dreams turn into a reality, we rely on God's favor and the giving nature of our faithful supporters. We have dreams to see our organization grow to employ over 100 associates and allow over 50 residents to call Aldersgate home, and without your faithful giving we would never be able to see those dreams come true. Please take a moment to look through the various ways below that you can give to Aldersgate and see if God is leading your heart to choose one. Thank you so much for your support, and we hope that you continue to follow Aldersgate and keep our family in your prayers. God bless!

Real Estate & Bequests
Before you sell residential real estate and donate the net proceeds to Aldersgate, consider donating that property directly to us for two major benefits:
When you make a contribution of real estate to Aldersgate Enrichment Center, you won’t have capital gains exposure because you’re gifting—not selling—the property; this means your charitable gift, and your tax deduction as well, may be over 20% higher. Call Marshall Thornhill at 325-646-5608 to discuss this opportunity in detail.
- A potential income tax charitable deduction for the fair market value.
- A greater gift to charity—charities don’t pay capital gains taxes, so the full value of your gift goes to causes you care about.

Charitable Trust & Estate Planning
Charitable Trust
Your charitable trust to Aldersgate would create a win-win relationship for both us and yourself. While we will receive a generous contribution annually from the interest earned on the trust, you can also access otherwise unavailable tax breaks. For example, highly appreciated assets like stocks are especially vulnerable to capital gains and estate taxes, but under charitable lead trusts, donors can get an immediate federal income tax deduction based on the trust's value. Afterward, income tax is only paid on the revenue the property produces. Once the trust expires and passes to the donor's heirs, estate and gift taxes are substantially reduced.
Other Estate Planning
Aldersgate is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and therefore all gifts are tax deductible.
If you would like to discuss any of the gifting options, please contact Marshall Thornhill at m.thornhill@aldersgatecenter.org
